ASK THE MANAGER

Spencer Davis

Great committee, great managers and coaches! Always going the extra mile to ensure everyone is looked after, which extended to our players and parents.
We have an amazing club and community togetherness and I think we are the standout club of Medway.
Very proud of the progress and achievements of many, which makes the club a very special place to be.
I wouldn’t say we have any stand out league games, but I must admit running our first team, upto U16 was very special. Some great players. Plus going the whole season unbeaten was very impressive as U15, winning the League Title, whilst playing up a year.
Too many to count, every year seems to be many stand out moments across the whole club.
Speaking to parents and hearing how their son and daughter are getting on.
Not really, like most parents, you do it for your children.
Just watching the kids grow in ability and strength every week. At U9 level, I don’t think you have any games that you are really excited about. Derbys are always fun and gives a little more edge, but overall within the foundation phase, they continue to learn every week and before we know it they will be U12 and playing for 3 points every week. That when the games have a lot more meaning.
Lionel Messi – watching YouTube videos of a 9 year old lad, doing things with a ball most could only dream about. I think to have a player of natural talent like that in your team would have been something very special.
Kenny Dalglish in the red 7 shirt. Amazing player.
Continue to work hard and train hard. Take everything in their stride, whilst learning both technical / development parts to their game.
Would maybe like to run a JPL team within the U10 age group next year, with Town players, that would also be a great addition to their development programme.
With the men’s 1st team up and running, next year will see our pathway grow within the club. The natural progression for our U18s into reserves and 1st team will be special.

Following on, another point of growth for myself will be the ladies pathways and seeking and producing a pathway for our girls to follow. A ladies first team will be an important development point this year and one I’m excited to add.
Tenpin Bowling! Played at a very good level, traveled the U.K. playing in many tournaments.
Then football took over my life.
