MEDWAY TOWN FC

Meet the team

ASK THE MANAGER

Medway Town is special for me not just for the opportunities it gives to all players, but for its commitment to Girls football. From a young age, Boys and Girls are encouraged to get involved, develop their skills, and enjoy the game in a supportive and inclusive environment.
The growth in our Girls Development Centre has been amazing, with more and more girls joining, developing their skills, and embracing football for the first time.
The final of our first ever tournament win was unforgettable for me. After coming so close in past semi finals and finals. When the final whistle blew, to see the girls faces alongside their celebrations with eachother and their families was special. They played with so much heart and determination in that match and very much deserved to lift the trophy.

U13 Pinx had watched the entire game and were cheering them on seeing the older Girls supporting them made the moment even better.
Watching my girls grow as players and as a team has been the biggest highlight for me. Seeing their confidence improve, their passing and teamwork develop, and the way they support each other as teammates both on and off the pitch has been incredible.
I always look forward to matchday. It’s great to see the girls put into practice what we’ve worked on in training, cheer each other on, and just enjoy playing together as a team.
I never really thought I would end up coaching a youth side, but I’m so glad I have. Growing up as a young girl playing football, Its brilliant to see how far the game has come and to be part of a system thats really empowering for girls football. Its a great thing to be involved in.
Im really looking forward to this season, especially coming up against a few teams we had tough games with last year. It will be great to show how much the girls have improved and see how far they have come since then.
It would have to be Chloe Kelly my girls wouldn’t let me choose anyone else! Seeing how she has grown from a young player into a top professional would be so inspiring for them.
I didnt really have a single hero growing up, but my family has always been my inspiration. Their love and support has shaped who I am.
Over the next couple of seasons, my aspiration is for the players to keep improving and enjoy their football. I want them to challenge themselves, work together, and see how far they can go as a team!
I would also love for us to compete in a tournament abroad, so they can experience different styles of play, face new challenges, and create memories that will last them a lifetime.
As a coach, my aspiration is to make a lasting impact on the girls helping them grow not just as footballers, but as confident, resilient individuals who enjoy the game and carry the lessons they learn on the pitch into other areas of life.
Im not sure I have a hidden talent, but I like to think that my ability to motivate quietly instilling confidence without being loud or flashy helps the girls believe in themselves.
