ASK THE MANAGER

We have only been here a very short time and its the feel of the club and meaning of representing this club, it has a real community feel and we are very proud to be part of it.
We have been lucky to see some great games, but the one that sticks out was the quarter final of the cup away to iwade we are 1-0 down and we came back to level the game with 5 minutes to go, we then went to extra time and scored the winning goal with in the first 5 minutes of extra time and when the whistle went just the reaction from the boys was enough to show how important that game was.
I’ll be honest we have only played one game so far, but in the short time we have been here the boys have continued their performances from last year, would have to be a superb free kick in pre season from our left winger teddy superb strike and great goal.
Seeing the boys on saturday morning with the excitment in there eyes for the following day it makes it all worth it.
I played in a great side as a child but had never even considered it untill I had children of my own.
we had a good year last year, but the boys have just joined secondary and this year is a year of change for them both on and off the pitch so in general, I just look forward to watching them grow and develop into young adults and improve as a team.
Thats a tough one, for me it would have to be Roy Keane I think, hes been a player, a coach and his mindset and pure talent aswell would be something everyone could learn from, from Ireland to captaining man utd in the greatest years of our time.
My dad will always be my idol in my personal life for so many reasons.
In respects to football my uncle john played a high level and I always looked up to him and listened to his stories.
He would always come to my finals aswell and he use to take me to watch charlton alot, which really made me love football more.
But my idol was david Beckham what a talent and a genuinely top pro.
We plan to try and win a league title being one for sure, and then we see if we can possibly move to the Kent youth league but we have to make a certain level and for us its about keeping the boys together and enjoying football aswell.
My aspirations within football don’t stretch much further than supporting these boys all the way through till their able to play above u18 and onwards.
I would like to develop my coaching to help the boys develop more.
I dont think so or at least not that I know of.
