My name is Josh Edwards, and I’m proud to be part of a fantastic team of young volunteers. We also have additional helpers participating as part of their Duke of Edinburgh Award program.
Our creche welcomes boys and girls aged 3 to 6, offering them a chance to begin their football journey in Medway Town. Over the past four years, we’ve successfully formed 12 teams from our creche, ranging from Under-7s to Under-10s.
I currently manage our Under-9s team, which includes three players who began their football journey in our creche at just 3 or 4 years old. Watching these players grow and continue to enjoy the game is incredibly rewarding.
Medway Kickers is vital to the future of Medway Town football. It provides a foundation for young players, teaching them not just the basics of football but also what it means to be part of a team. Children remain in the creche until they turn 6, after which they transition into the Under-7s team for the following season, where they begin playing matches against other teams.
Our dedicated volunteers are the heart of Medway Kickers. Without their support, it simply wouldn’t exist. Thanks to their efforts, we’re able to help each child learn and develop at their own pace. For those who need extra guidance, we even offer one-on-one training.
If your 3-year-old is ready to start their football adventure, we’d love to see you at Rainham Mark School, Pump Lane, ME8 7AJ, every Saturday morning at 9:15 am. Come join us and let’s kick-start their football journey together!
