I joined Medway Town as I was looking for a local team for my son, I tried a few other clubs first but something didn’t feel right, when I contacted Medway Town, I was made to feel welcome straight away and they made every effort to make sure my son was happy within the team.

The club supports all age groups from 3-18, with the girl’s teams now getting bigger each season, you can really see Medway Town progressing in the right way for boys’ and girls’ football for all ages

I have been lucky enough to coach several age groups within Medway Town, from 3-year-olds to under 14’s, to choose a favourite age group is difficult, but to see those little 3-year-olds kick a ball for the first time and then watch them develop as a player as they work their way through the age groups is something special

My fun fact would be, I have been lucky enough to meet George Best and as my job as a driving instructor I taught Nigel Benns daughter how to drive, bit scary having him in the back of the car on lessons, but really nice guy

My main aim in coaching is to make sure the kids have fun, to help them achieve their goals, but the main thing is to watch them develop and reach their potential by enjoying their football
